Let me start with a few facts about me. I have been out of work for well over a year and keep getting the “Thanks for applying but you are over-qualified,” or the new option of being completely ignored by the employers I have applied to thanks to the human being removed from "Human Resources" and all applications are now over the internet. I started looking for other ways to earn money for bills, groceries, and so on. I have looked at paid email sites, survey sites, work at job listing sites, affiliate programs, and home business opportunities. The scams out there are frightening!

 

So, are you looking for a way to make money from home? It is possible, but there is no such thing as getting rich overnight.  To earn anything online you will need to put in an effort. Don’t spend money on any programs or sites. There are a few that require fees that are legitimate but 95% are complete scams. They get richer while you make nothing at all.

 

Let's review the truth about working from home. There are free programs and sites out there that you can make money from and there are free programs sites where you can earn rewards, if you have time to do it.

 

Unfortunately, most of these sites and programs really require you to put in a lot of time and effort.  Whether you want to do paid emails, surveys, affiliate marketing, or you are looking to work from home in any way, be prepared to work hard.

 

Before you look into these sites, there are various methods that these sites use for “paying” you. On some sites it’s earn a certain amount then they will either mail you a check or deposit it directly into your bank account, PayPal account, or onto a direct pay card. Some sites use the point system where you need a specific amount of points to request a payout.  Others do not pay out in actual money, they pay out in gift cards, online gift cards, and so forth. So be careful and know what the site offers, how they pay out, and how they communicate with you.

 

Just about every site out there that I will be talking about here sends you email, whether it’s an email you need to confirm, a survey notice, a new opportunity, etc. Some of them send you email once or twice a day, others send you email repeatedly and can flood your inbox. Most spam filters think that a lot of these sites are spam, too, so be very careful an be sure to whitelist any programs that you join. 

 

I have checked out a lot of these programs and sites, and I am a member of many of them. There are so many that I can only cover those I have joined. I’ll tell you whether they are scams, whether they are worth the effort, and what I find good and bad about them. Let’s take a look at those I have joined and what they offer, the pros and cons, and whether a site is a scam or not. As time goes on, I will add new sites, new observations, and full descriptions of my journey through this work at home world.
